Dylan Scott Biography

Born Dylan Scott Robinson on 22 October 1990, the artist grew up in Louisiana, with a guitarist father.  He was influenced by his father’s stories of the music world and Nashville. When his dad took him to Music City, he was introduced to the guy that would become his manager.

Early Career

Scott signed with Curb Records when he was 18 years old. The young singer worked with producer Jim Ed Norman and released the debut single “Makin’ This Boy Go Crazy” in 2013. He showed his evolution with further singles “Mmm, Mmm, Mmm” and “Lay It On Me.”

First Album

Jim Ed Norman produced the majority of Dylan’s self-entitled first album, issued in 2016. Led by the single “Lay It on Me”, the album peaked at number five on the Billboard US Top Country Albums chart. The musical maturity Scott managed to grasp brought him into the spotlight. He became one of the most successful young artists of the year 2016. With a twist of traditional country, Dylan’s heartfelt voice immersed fans in joyful country experiences.

We throw a lot of elements into these songs, just like we do in our show. Our show is very diverse: we come out rockin’, then we might do some really old-school country stuff and then some hip-hop or something that’s cool on the radio now. One of the biggest compliments I can think of is when people come up to me after the show and go, ‘Man, I’m not really a country music fan, but that was awesome! I even liked the country/country stuff you did,Dylan declared.
