Demon Hunter Biography

The 2017 line-up for Demon Hunter encloses the members Ryan Clark, Jon Dunn, Patrick Judge, Timothy “Yogi” Watts, and Jeremiah Scott. The band was founded by brothers Ryan and Don Clark.

First Albums

Their debut album Demon Hunter was released in 2002. It was written solely by the Clark siblings. They also played all the instruments, expect some drum tracks where Jesse Sprinkle was added. When they went on tour, they permanently added Sprinkle in the band and also brought bassist Jon Dunn and lead guitarist Kriss McCaddon.

Climbing Charts

Demon Hunter became a respected name in the Christian metal scene with further albums like Summer of Darkness (2004) and Storm the Gates of Hell (2007). in 2009, Don Clark left the band and was replaced by rhythm guitarist Ryan Helm. The 2010 album The World is a Thorn peaked at number 2 on the U Hard Rock Albums and on the US Christian Albums charts.

Their next album True Defiance featured 3 different art covers. One for the studio album, one for the standard edition #2 and one for the deluxe edition. It was also an album with not a single feature from other artists. It reached number 36 on the Billboard 200 chart and number 2 on the Top Christian Albums chart. Extremist (2014) climbed even higher, peaking at number 16 on the Billboard 200 chart. Demon Hunter issued the album Outlive on 31 March 2017. It contained singles like “Cold Winter Sun” and “Died in My Sleep.”
