The british pop group Steps took by assault the end of the 90s with their dance vibes.
Steps Biography
Steps encloses the members Lee Latchford-Evans, Claire Richards, Lisa Scott-Lee, Faye Tozer, and Ian “H” Watkins. The band was founded by Steve Crosby and Barry Upton and suffered a few changes before settling on a stable line-up.
Early Years
Their first single “5, 6, 7, 8” achieved moderate success. It was followed by “Last Thing on My Mind” and “One for Sorrow.” Their debut album Step One peaked at number 2 on the UK Albums Chart. It sold approximatively 2,5 million copies and was rated 4/5 stars by AllMusic.
Backed by their thunderous debut, their second album Steptacular peaked at number one on the UK Albums Chart. It contained singles like “Love’s Got a Hold on My Heart” and “Say You’ll Be Mine.” Buzz (2000) failed to reach the same success levels the other two albums did but positioned itself quite well.
Getting Back Together
The dawn of the 2000s found Steps in problematic relationships. Despite the fans’ demise, they disbanded. They would later reunite in 2011 and appear on This Morning and other TV shows. After consolidating their newly found position, Steps issued Light Up the World (2012). The Christmas songs album’s release was followed by a hiatus of 5 years. In the first day of 2017, they announced the end of their break. On 5 March 2017 the band issued the single “Scared of the Dark”. Their album Tears on the Dancefloor is set to be released on 21 April 2017.
