lovely.the.band are the new kids on the block when it comes to lovely indie music. Led by Oh Honey's Collins, they represent a project worth listening to.
lovely.the.band Biography
lovely.the.band is enclosing the members Mitchy Collins (vocals and guitar), Jordan Greenwald (guitar) and Kosta Theodosis (drummer). Mitchy formed this group, as a side project to his indie pop band Oh Honey.
New Twitter, Who Dis?
On the 1st of March, 2017, a twitter account under the name of lovely.the.band appeared. Its first tweet was “We make music.” The band continued to tease about releasing new music and grasped more and more fans. Together with pictures of themselves, photos from the set and band quotes, the band reached 4,600 followers on Twitter in only one month.
Debut
Billboard premiered their first song on 13 April 2017. Titled “broken”, the song comes also with a lyrics video. Devyn DeLoera and Chloe Farnworth are starring in the video. Mitchy said that “This song is about finding someone who is just as f–ed up and lost as you are, but somehow you make it work together. Everyone is a little bit broken inside, nobody’s perfect. This song is an ode to the broken ones.”
On 14 April 2017, the band made available the song everywhere. Their catchy indie vibes are quite a breath of fresh air nowadays. With influences from bands like MGMT and Grouplove, lovely.the.band have the experience, the sound and the lyrics to top Indie charts.
