Creeper Biography
Creeper is an English horror punk band formed in 2014. After 3 EPs, the group released their debut studio album Eternity, in Your Arms, in 2017. Their style is influenced by goth punk, punk rock and glam rock.
Early Years
Creeper formed in Southampton in 2014 and almost immediately released an eponymous debut EP. They began performing gigs in London and signed to Roadrunner Records. Furthermore, they released their second EP, The Callous Heart, in 2015, toured with Misfits and performed at the Warped Tour. In early 2016, Creeper came out with a third EP, The Stranger, which made it into the UK Albums chart, at number 130. Additionally, Creeper joined Black Veil Brides’ Andy Biersack on tour.
Breakthrough
The band’s latest EP brought them some exposure and, following up on that success, they began recording for a full-length album. In October 2016, the group released the first single and its video, Suzanne. In December, Hiding with Boys, premiered on BBC Radio 1’s Rock Show. Finally, 2016 culminated with Creeper reaching number 1 on the Best British Newcomer poll. The third single, Black Rain, was released in February 2017, followed shortly by the album itself. Eternity, in Your Arms topped the Rock & Metal Albums chart and peaked at number 18 on the UK Albums chart. “Eternity, in Your Arms, is a record, this time not only about being young and heartbroken but about transition, about age and loss.” commented the lead vocalist upon the release.
