Bleachers is a New York-based American indie pop act formed by Fun’s member, Jack Antonoff.
Early Formation
Jack Antonoff was still a member of band Fun when he decided to form a new project. With a sound heavily influenced by the ’80s, their emotional pop music still used modern production methods.
Career
Bleachers’ was a secret until 2014, when the debut single I Wanna Get Better was released. Under the representation of RCA Records, the act released Strange Desire the same year. It featured guest appearances from Yoko Ono and Grime. Antonoff embarked on a tour backed by a live band for the duration of 2015. Terrible Thrills, Vol. 2 was issued as a “sequel” to the debut album. A variety of the songs were covered by different artists with different melodies. Such artists include Carly Rae Jepsen, Elle King, and Tinashe. In 2017 Don’t Take The Money featured by Lorde, was revealed as the lead single from the upcoming LP Everybody Lost Somebody.
