Com Truise Biography

Seth Haley, known by his controversial stage name Com Truise, is an electronic and synthwave artist. Originally, Seth was an art director. He made his commercial debut in 2011 and has an upcoming album, Iteration, due for 2017.

Early Years 

Before the birth of Com Truise, Seth had been already making music for quite a while. This latest persona was created due to Seth Haley’s love for the 80s pop culture. He called his music ““mid-fi synth-wave, slow-motion funk”. He signed with the independent label Ghostly International and released his first EP, Cyanide Sisters and his debut album, Galactic Melt (2011). The album received positive reviews, due to its nostalgic and dreamlike style. The concept album revealed the identity of the Com Truise persona, as the first robot astronaut.

Breakthrough

After a second EP, Fairlight, and the 2012 sophomore album In Decay, Com Truise released Wave 1 (2014), to critical acclaim. The EP reached top 10 on both the Billboard Dance/Electronic Albums chart and the Heatseekers chart. Additionally, it spawned two singles, Declination and Subsonic. Wave 1 was later revealed as one of the planets discovered by Com Truise, the robot. While Seth’s second album depicted the robot’s journey through different galaxies and his first emotional interactions, Iteration promises to be a conclusive story about triumph and peace.
