Early Life
Michael Taylor Perretta was born in Los Angeles, California on December 10, 1976. As a teenager, he was very much into skating and graffiti. After Michael moved next Quincy Jones’ son QDIII, he was exposed to the producing qualities.
Dilated Peoples
Evidence formed the group Dilated Peoples with QD3 and Rakaa after the success of their single Third Degree. In 1998, the crew was joined by DJ Babu and they quickly became a success on the hip hop scene. Together they made 4 albums and produced numerous songs for acts like Beastie Boys, Linkin Park, and Kanye West. Evidence left Dilated Peoples in 2006.
Solo Career
After his collaboration with Kanye West, Evidence earned a Grammy. Eager to showcase his talent he released the 2007 solo album The Weatherman under ABB Records. Red Tape Instrumentals, the second album soon followed. In 2011 he made a comeback with the Cats & Dogs LP, joined by Prodigy as a feature and the Alchemist as a producer amongst others. It reached position 64 on Billboard 200, making it his first LP to break into the chart. Evidence released the project Cielo in 2016 under Sonic Rush Records. He is set to reveal his latest LP this year, issuing the first single Throw It All Away on the 5th of April 2017.
