Mila J is an American hip-hop and R&B artist and dancer. She is the sister of Jhene Aiko.

Jamila Akiko Aba Chilombo, known by her stage name Mila J is an American singer, songwriter, rapper and dancer. She is known for her appearance in Prince’s video for Diamonds and Pearls. In April 2017 she released her debut studio album, Dopamine.
Gyrl
Mila was born and raised in LA, California, in 1991. She cited Janet Jackson as her main inspiration. She is the sister of R&B/soul artist Jhene Aiko. Initially, Mila pursued a dancing career. She was discovered by Christ Stokes, who became her manager, and formed the R&B girl trio Gyrl, with her other sister, Miyoko. The group’s debut single, Play Another Slow Jam, reached number 74 on the Hot R&B Singles chart. In 1997, they made it into the Hot 100 chart with the single Get Your Groove On.
Solo
In 2006, Mila wanted to release her debut solo album, Split Personality, but it was eventually cancelled. In 2012, after a period of hiatus, the female rapper released a mixtape called Westside, which gained over 700k downloads. Additionally, she released music video for her singles Blinded and Movin On. More noteworthy, in 2014 she released her single Smoke, Drink, Break-Up, which peaked at number 33 on the R/&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart. She performed the song and premiered the music video at BET’s 106 & Park. Furthermore, she released My Main, with Ty Dollar $ign. In 2015, her second mixtape came out, The Waiting Game.
