Phora Biography

Phora is an American rapper who has found an online following, especially from the West Coast hip-hop scene.

Early Life

Marco Archer was born on October 11, 1994, in Anaheim, California. His interest in graffiti got him a job in tattooing which further expanded into a passion for rap music.

Career

Phora was most prolific at narrative lyrics. That was accompanied by a charismatic demeanor and delivery which strongly resonated with listeners. Turning 21 he had already released 4 albums as an independent artist. The following projects were highly supported and funded by fans like One Life to Live, Still a Kid, Sincerely Yours, and the Nights Like These EP.  

Success

Phora’s first entry into Billboard’s Rap chart was possible with the arrival of his 2015 album Angels with Broken Wings. In this LP he stated that the only rappers he looked up to were J. Cole, Hopsin, and Logic. Eskupe and Anthro Beats were the two producers that had true influence on him and helped him define his style. Phora was signed to Warner Bros. Records in 2017.
