Tekno Biography

Tekno is a Nigerian singer-songwriter, producer, and performer.

Early Life

Augustine Miles Kelechi was born in Bauchi, Bauchi State on December 17, 1992, as a descent of the Ebonyi State. At 8 years old he joined a music school and learned how to play piano and guitar.

Career

Under the management of K-Money Entertainment, Tekno released his first single Holiday. The song garnered massive airplay on the radio. In 2012 while in Abuja, he was spotted by comedian Julius Agwu who introduced him to manager Ubi Franklyn owner of Made Men Music Group. Miles moved to Lagos at the insistence of his new friend Ubi.

Success

In 2013 he was signed to Made Men Music Group. Tekno released 2 singles Dance and Anything. He was nominated, as a result, for Best New act of the Year at the 2014 Nigeria Entertainment Awards. Duro was released as a single in 2015. Produced by DJ Coublon, the track charted several charts in Nigeria and in other countries. It peaked at number 5 on Capital XTRA’s Afrobeats Chart: Top 10 the same year. Tekno released his next single Wash with a music video directed by AJE Films.
