iLoveMemphis is an American rapper best known for his single Hit the Quan.

Career

Richard Colbert was born in Memphis, Tennessee on March 29, 1993. iLoveMemphis released his first single SnapEmUp in 2014. The next single Hit the Quan gained him success on social media. Hit the Quan was a dance originally performed by Rich Homie Quan in his music video.

Success

Released in 2015, iLoveMemphis issued a song named Hit the Quan 3 months later. Claiming that he only spent 35 dollars to make the song, the music video debuted on November 12th. Richard was invited to perform the song on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and on The Real talk show. His second single Lean and Dabb was released the same year on iTunes. 2For1, another track of his talked about new sneakers and the beauty of Kylie Jenner. He was signed by Def Jam veteran Barry Weiss to his new record and song publishing companies the same year. In 2016 he released his debut EP The TurnUp Kid.
