Joe Jonas Biography

Born Joseph Adam Jones on 15 August 1989, Joe entered the music scene with his band Jonas Brothers, enclosing him and his brothers, Kevin Jonas and Nick Jonas.

Early Years

Jonas Brothers’ debut album was entitled It’s About Time (2006). Met with medium-to-little positive feedback, the boys fled Columbia Records and signed with Hollywood Records. Their self-titled second album was issued in 2007 and placed them on the charts. Jonas Brothers peaked at number five on the Billboard 200 in the US.

Joe and his band issued in 2008 their first Billboard No. 1 album A Little Big Longer. The next album Lins, Vines and Trying Times (2009) also met with tremendous success.

New Start

After guest appearances on Disney Channel, they got their own series Jonas Brothers: Living the Dream. They also played in Camp Rock.

In 2011 Jonas Brothers disbanded. Joe went on to pursue his solo career. Titled Fastlife (2011), it met with commercial failure. Soon after his solo experience, Joe reunited with his brothers for a few live performances. They wanted to issue a new album, but the differences between them resulted in the end of Jonas Brothers.

Trying to put his musical career right back on its feet, Joe Jonas founded DNCE together with Jack Lawless and JinJoo Lee in 2015. The bassist, Cole Whittle joined a little while after that. Joe Jonas met Cole when he was playing bass for SemiPrecious Weapons. Their hit “Cake by the Ocean” peaked at number 9 on the Billboard Hot 100.
