Pusha T is an American hip-hop recording artist.
Pusha T Biography
Born Terrence LeVarr Thornton on 13 May 1977, Pusha grew up in Virginia Beach, Virginia. He and his brother formed the duo Clipse.
Beginning
Clipse signed to Elektra Records in 1997, but to no real follow-up. They shifted to their own record label called Re-Up Records. The brothers formed the hip-hop group Re-Up Gang with Ab-Liva and Sandman. They issued three albums with this group and one more as Clipse in 2009.
Going separate ways from his brother, Pusha T signed to GOOD Music in 2010. After successful featuring the rapper released his first solo project, the mixtape “Fear of God” (2011). He also issued the EP “Fear of God II: Let Us Pray” in 2011. It contained singles like “Trouble on My Mind” and “My God”. The project peaked at number 66 on the Billboard 200.
Going Global
His next album, My Name is My Name (2013) includes collaborations from Kanye West, Swizz Beatz, Travis Scott and Future. Pusha’s recording debuted at number 4 on the Billboard 200.
King Push – Darkest Before Dawn: The prelude (2015) managed to hit 17 million streams in its first week. The album is considered, as the title says, a prelude to the long awaited album King Push.
