Walk the Moon Biography

Formed in the late 2000s, Walk the Moon are a quirky rock band.

Early Beginnings

Nicholas Petricca, Kevin Ray, Sean Waugaman, and Eli Maiman were formed as Walk the Moon in 2008. Independently they released the 2010 debut album I Want! I Want!.  

Breakthrough

They were signed to Mick Management and released the LP Walk the Moon in 2012 under RCA Records. The single Anna Sun broke into the top 40 chart. In 2013 they released the EP Tightrope, followed by Talking Is Hard a full-length album in 2014. Shut Up and Dance was a success as it broke into the Top 10, becoming an International hit. It also got the guys one Teen Choice and one MTV VMA nomination. Starting 2015,  Walk the Moon headed for a tour that lasted one year.
