While She Sleeps Biography

While She Sleeps are an English metalcore band that currently encloses the members Lawrence Taylor (vocalist), Sean Long (guitarist), Mat Welsh (guitarist), Aaran McKenzie (bassist) and Adam Savage (drummer).

Early Years

They formed as a band in 2006 with the members aforementioned, except the vocalist, who at that time was Jordan Widdowson. Jordan left the band in 2009 and the current vocalist Lawrence Taylor joined.

They issued their first mini-album The North Stands for Nothing in 2010 under the label Small Town Records. Following the success of the album, While She Sleeps recorded a live performance session for BBC Radio 1 and they opened for Bring Me The Horizon on one of their tours.

First Albums

They signed with Search and Destroy Records in 2012. In the summer of the same year, they issued their debut album This Is The Six. In 2012 they also won the Kerrang! Award for Best British Newcomer.

While She Sleeps‘ second album Brainwashed (2015) met with positive reviews. When asked by Impericon Magazine to talk about this album, guitarist Sean Long said “It basically means that as we all know but may choose to ignore it or ‘play the game’ as it were, that we are under a false impression of how life should be, what we should think, what to do, how to act, what’s the ‘right’ thing to do, the ‘wrong’ thing to do, how to spend your time here and so on…“.

The album You Are We is set to be released in April 2017. The singles  “Silence Speaks” and “You Are We” are already released and gained huge popularity.
