YG Biography

Born Keenon Daequan Ray Jackson on 9 March 1990, YG is another successful face out of the famous Compton region.

Early Career

The rapper was featured on “Act Right” with Yo Gotti. The song slightly entered the Billboard Hot 100. Building up for his upcoming album, YG issued singles like “My Nigga” featuring Rich Homie Quan and Jeezy, “Left, Right” and “Who Do You Love?”.

The album titled My Krazy Life was issued in the spring of 2014. With tremendous success, it debuted at number two on the Billboard 200.

Second Album

The Compton artist released the singles “Twist My Fingaz” in 2015. His second album Still Brazy (2016) was supported by the aforementioned single and two more, “FDT” and “Why You Always Hatin?”.  YG released the promotional singles “Still Brazy” produced by Ty Dolla sign and “Word is Bond”.

Achievements

YG has starred in movies like White T and Blame It On the Streets. He won a Bet Hip Hop Award and an iHeartRadio Music Award. The latter for Hip Hop/R&B Song of the Year with “Don’t Tell ‘Em” featuring Jeremih and the former with “My Nigga” featuring Young Jeezy and Homie Quan.
